Cleaning

Protecting your investment with good care and cleaning, oriental rugs can be passed down for generations.  For over 30 years our firm has specialized in proper cleaning, care and restoration of oriental rugs.  Pickup and delivery service available.

Helpful Hints

A rug should be vacuumed regularly to maintain the integrity of the fibers and to remove excess dirt.  The fringe should not be vacuumed to avoid possible damage.  We recommend our professional cleaning of oriental rugs every one to three years.

Treatment of Stains

For those unfortunate emergencies, pour club soda onto the stained area; then blot, not rub, with a clean soft cloth.  Repeat this process until the stain is removed.  The next step would be to elevate the wet area so the rug can breathe; dry the area as quickly as possible using a fan or hair dryer to speed up the drying process.  Pet and red wine stains are further hazards to oriental rugs.  Immediate attention is best.  Left untreated these stains can do permanent damage to the fibers of the rug.  Please contact us as soon as possible.  There is no guarantee on the removal of pet stains or red wine stains.
